About Kevin Ko, MD, DABA

Kevin Ko, MD, DABA, is a dual-trained, board-certified anesthesiologist and fellowship-trained interventional pain specialist at Englewood Cliffs Surgery Center, serving patients at their Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey office.  

Dr. Ko pursued general surgery training at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey, followed by anesthesiology training at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. His unique background includes completing an ACGME-accredited interventional pain fellowship at the same institution, driving his passion for interventional pain medicine. With expertise honed from both surgical and anesthesia realms, Dr. Ko employs evidence-based therapies to diagnose and treat chronic pain effectively.

As Director-at-Large of the New Jersey Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Dr. Ko is dedicated to enhancing patient function and quality of life through a comprehensive array of interventional therapies. Specializing in headaches, neck, shoulder, back, knee, leg/sciatica, and pelvic pain, he conducts procedures and injections with precise fluoroscopic image guidance.

His proficiency spans minimally invasive spinal procedures, including cervical, thoracic, and lumbar epidurals, radiofrequency ablation for facet joint treatments, sacroiliac joint fusion, MILD, Vertiflex procedure, and endoscopic rhizotomy and discectomy.

Dr. Ko is also adept in neuromodulation therapies like spinal cord stimulation, dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulation, and intrathecal pump placement. Moreover, he offers ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve injections to alleviate pain effectively.

Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Dr. Ko consults patients at our Colonia, Livingston, and Englewood offices. He holds memberships with prestigious professional societies, including the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience, American Society of Anesthesiology, Gold Humanism Honor Society, International Neuromodulation Society, New Jersey Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, North American Neuromodulation Society, and Spine Intervention Society.
